One square at a time

This seems like a monumental effort but I am embarking on it. I am not a quilter, but I do stitch and what is quilting, but stitching through multiple layers? I decided to start with the stars. And I used Jude’s method of drawing directly on the cloth with a pen. Then used initially two strands of floss, switching to one about halfway through. It is split backstitch. I don’t know if I like it – the green is a little too intense and the stitching is somehow not pleasing to the eye. But it’s done now, and I’m moving on to the next square.
