Socks! And ball winder
I finished my first pair of socks! Made with crochet, using the Tipping the Scales pattern from The Crochet Project.
It was a challenge. I had to frog the ribbing several times before I got the hang of it. Then I had to adjust it because the number of rows of ribbing apparently does matter to the size of the rest of the sock! A learning experience for sure. I picked colors that are very similar so the scaly pattern does not show up well. But I’m pretty impressed nevertheless.
And my birthday present, a lovely wooden ball winder from India. The first wound ball is visible, a greenish blue mini-skein. The message at the end of the instructions read “We wish you winding happily!”
