Icelandic tales – Geysir

After the hot bath, we made one last stop at the Strokkur Geysir. There was a lot of geothermal activity in that area as well as some trails to walk.

I have been to Yellowstone National Park a few times and I think I’m spoiled by it. There weren’t as many varied and colorful pools here. However, the main Geysir “Strokkur” erupted about every ten minutes which is much more rewarding than Old Faithful’s hour-plus schedule.
