Frosty
We woke up to frost this morning. Everything was coated. It looked very beautiful. I seem to be surprised that there’s such an everyday occurrence as weather on Thanksgiving. Of course there is! Now it’s raining so I’m glad I took photos of the frosty morning.
I’m gradually cutting lots of baby pine and fir that’s growing in the yard. There’s a pile of it there at the top of the photo. I should make some wreaths with it. I love the forest but I don’t want it to take over the open space we have, especially where there are blueberries.
I have a harvest table in the living room. I arranged it for a cornucopia effect. There’s a bowl full of milkweed fluff that will go out in the yard soon before it scatters in the house. The squash is going to the food bank or someone that can use it. We can’t eat so much.
We’re about to leave for camp, then Sam’s cousin’s for a feast. So far all the vegan cooking has turned out pretty well, although I didn’t cook the potatoes long enough. Sam just put them in the food processor and they taste okay, although they’re semi-raw. There’s always something.
I‘m pausing to feel grateful. For this abundance, for the gifts of the earth, for everything. And to wish all that visit here much happiness.
Catherine~ Many blessings to you and yours. ??
I love your seasonal display and the milkweed fluff really caught my eye. It reminds me of some seedpod fluff I found a while back.
Thank you for sharing your frost. I just shared more blue skies! haha
We are having dramatic cloudscapes today – and a little snow. The sky is endlessly interesting!
Beautiful pictures … visiting here has become one of my Happy places.
That makes me happy, Tina!
