A few things
1. I’ll send this photo of my Dirty Threads to Deb Lacativa in response to her blog post request. I might have a few more somewhere, but this is most of them. I’m running low on one of my favorites, that yellow-rust-blue-gray at top left. And I seem to have an inordinate amount of deep purples.
2. I noticed a regular pattern when I was down near the ground picking up some old boards. Turns out it was the texture along this one’s little back. The tiniest toes, beady black eyes, a kind of stumpy tail. Elbows and knees even!
What a fascinating little creature .. showing Grace’s picture both my husband and daughter said they also have never seen one like it. Salamander??? They do look like lizards or geckos but at the same time quite different. Deb’s dirty threads are the best .. I love the hearts she’s making. I think she’s amazing!!
Yes, it’s a salamander. Or maybe a newt? I don’t know enough to identify it exactly. Deb’s work is amazing!
Wow, this lil critter. I don’t know if I have seen one in the wild. I did (and do) see a lizard today and it was still long enough for me to snap a pic 🙂
Love seeing everyone’s threads!
Amazing critters. We don’t have lizards here, not warm enough.
there is such infinite variety in Deb’s threads … I love that she called us to share
It’s a great idea to see people’s stashes all together on her post!
i am so happy for you, this little Being…salamander, yes…..Elbows and knees….yes! My heart just blooms with happiness upon finding one
the tail….it will grow back from some mishap.
I really feel so lucky to find them.
