It’s a process

Moonglow tomatoes ~ oh how I love them! I think the first time we grew them, was about 2007 or 2008, a Seed Keepers source recommendation if I recall correctly. Such. great keepers, delicious when canned, and as beautiful as those on your windowsill! And all of those vegetables … whoop! Hurray for Sam’s canning! So satisfying to have those quart jars “lurking” in the pantry, promising the taste of spring and summer, when it’s wintery inside and outside! We have young neighbors that have a huge greenhouse and garden, and this year they wanted to learn how to “can” or “jar” some of their bounty. It was really a joy to be asked, and able! So my canning supplies live with them now! Thank you so much for all of this!

Happy to know another Moonglow aficionado! We don’t do a lot of canning, mostly sauce and dill pickles. The freezer gets quite full. It’s all appreciated during the long winter months.

There is NOTHING like a tomato, fresh from the garden…warm with Real tomato taste!
