Sense of smell
This morning I made muffins and soup stock.
The muffins were a good way to use up pumpkin and applesauce from the fridge.

The stock used up a lot of vegetables that are past their prime like the parsley and some dried up ginger root. I also added garden fennel and celery leaf from the freezer.

The competing smells in the house got a little troublesome so it was nice to get out in the fresh cold air for a walk. (Actually I’m always happy to notice I can smell because I associate it with not having Covid.)
Just a little snow fell last night, enough to outline every twig and branch with white. Captivating.

The home cooked food sounds great and the scents in the house too.
I do a lot of cooking. I should post about it more, I think.
