Pamphlet books
I’m trying to clean up the unfinished books that are hanging around. These were cut to size and just needed stitching. So a simple matter to finish them. The covers are all paste paper experiments from a long-ago workshop.

I’m going on a road-trip to visit family and friends in Connecticut and Westchester County. Just for the weekend. Strangely I’m eager to do this, a quick get-away.
Before leaving I took a Covid test. First home test I’ve done. Negative. I figured it was, but now I have proof. It was finicky to do with a lot of little plastic bits to wrangle.

And I found out the old fashioned barber John has passed away. Sam went to him once for a spur-of-the-moment haircut. There was a sign in the window, otherwise I wouldn’t have known. This reinforced my feeling that Portsmouth (New Hampshire) is moving beyond me and I don’t feel much like stopping here anymore.

Love the books. Are they blank? for art or journals? Or do they already have contents?
They are blank. I have a lot of small empty books because I like making them. Sometimes I fill them later, sometimes I give them away.
Beautiful lil books. There are times when I feel the world has passed me by.
I know the feeling. Luckily I have my own little world I can retreat to.
