Closing ceremony for March
Strips hung on orchard fence
It’s the end of March. And the last square sewn on these four strips. Time for a ceremony. It really is this gloomy here today. The blueberry bushes are just a little redder than they were all winter. I think.
A closer look:
Looking. The light shows through the thin cloth just slightly, giving a bordered appearance to those khaki squares.
A different place:
I moved them to the clothesline for another view. The breeze picked up a little.
Then a little more.
i love this cloth of squares: the softness of the patches, the colors of your land but now and then, markings and color vibrant to dispel l what you call gloom. How they tell of the coming seasons. Their dance in the wind definitely a celebration of the end of March and the coming of April. I could wrap myself in these patches and feel hugged. and most especially, want to dance, wearing them across the land….
I keep getting images of wrapping up in this cloth – eventually – and now I’m adding in some dancing!
could not be more Beauty Full ! i love looking at so many things, but this, the sense of a deep joyful Peace they give….i could see
myself LIVING with these in their Dance. Just so so Fine.
Grace, your response gives my cloth music even deeper resonance, thank you
Celebration indeed! This is so softly beautiful…earthy. A lovely cloth of colors!
One of the things I enjoy most about creating a cloth is choosing colors. I am happy with how this is turning out.
