Peaceful
A peaceful snowfall this morning.

The line in the air is electric tape that provides current from the electric fence around the garden on right to the orchard on left. This fence eliminated a lot of critter damage that plagued us for our first few years here.
The wheelbarrow is an almost indestructible plastic device I’ve had for years and years. There’s a small ladder leaning on it that Sam was using to install a rain gauge on top of the garden gate.
The invisible entrance to the woods is somewhere in the back. Those dark woods look impenetrable but they are actually very accessible. They belong to Crabtree Neck Land Trust, who maintains a loop trail in there called the Woods Trail. Sometimes we hear people walking back there. But mostly when I walk there, I don’t see another person and consider these my woods.
I love the dark woods here.
I imagine the hush
the wheelbarrow and ladder. At rest. Love this post.
I was inspired by your yard pictures, gate & fence. There’s something touching about tools in the yard.
