I am playing with ink. Sumi and gouache mixture. Taking an online class with Suzanne Moore via BookPaperThread. It is refreshing to try different things than usual. Loosening up the deep freeze that the weather is imposing on me. I made the chicken feather brush some time ago, just chicken feathers, masking tape, and a stick. It has held up even through a few rinsing cycles. I’m going to try a brush with less fluffy feathers.
Sam’s coming home from the hospital today. And everything will change again… ! We will adapt.
May Sam’s homecoming go smoothly and easily. Adapting is how we face these days of the unexpected, these days of the “new” normal.
When my husband came home from his heart surgery, it felt as if we were sunflowers, seeking and finding the rays of light, of warmth, pivoting to whatever presented during a particular day. Somehow, it all works out, as I know it will for you and Sam.
Sunflowers! What a great analogy! I will remember this.
how good that you will be together again … well wishes to Sam and peace to you …
Thank you for the well wishes. It’s good to be together. We’ve grown used to each other 🙂
just go
That’s all there is, really. One way or another.
When my husband returned home after heart surgery- the four poster bed was too high and the couches too low. Strain on the multitude of wires holding his breast bone together. My dear friend went to a gym and borrowed a stair step thing. Was the perfect thing. We didn’t have a walk in shower. We do now.
Hi Joanne, yes there have been some accommodations. But not too bad. We are trying to plan ahead for the big snow on Saturday.
