Beginnings
I need to start something. Get thoughts out of my head and into my hands. I’ve tried to make a starter circle for a basket a couple of times and made mistakes that caused me to stop. Maybe this time will be the one. I like it so far. I want to make a fabric coiled basket, mostly white I think. Once they get going, the momentum takes care of itself. Thinking of this as a December project.
More basket material? These iris leaves are irresistible. That glowing color in the drab looking border. I’m going to harvest some.
And just for their natural beauty, I took a picture of these last two cippollini onions, one of my garden’s many gifts. It’s hard to appreciate them enough.
the white basket is nice. I like that.
I finally put the garden to sleep.
Oh the garden…takes a lot of time and effort. It’s definitely winding down though. I pulled all the chard yesterday. There are still greens under cover and a few other crops out there.
