Pile of squares
I’ve stitched quite a few three-inch squares. They are now in a pile. I’m not sure what to do with them from here. But it’s nice to have them around. Mostly blue and green, with some yellow. Now I think I’ll move on to either the two-inch or the four-inch. Something about this is quite obsessive but also soothing.
I realized I hadn’t posted all three of the woven Zati masks I made following Susan Barrett Merrill‘s example. So here are the three friends.
I got a piece of mat board with a black velvety surface free from a friend, just what I envisioned for a backing. I originally thought I’d mount them three in a row, vertically. But they were scrunched especially the two with tails. So I thought a layout of four might work better. I’ll have to weave another!
stitching squares can be so soothing
and I especially like the wild edges of your first mask
i love the masks!
squares will wait for whatever.
That first mask really grabs ya!
The wild hair of the first mask is really fun. It took forever to unply the warps, but it was worth it.
