Onion skin printing
Eco-printing occurs in its own time. Usually, it feels like too much to undertake. Then suddenly, it is fine, easy and fun.
I’ve been saving onion skins in a bag near the kitchen counter. It was just a matter of choosing papers and distributing the onion skins. I used salt with the red onion skin on Stephanie Hare’s “Au Naturel” kozo paper. And used some usnea windfalls along with the yellow onion skins on a purchased Shizen watercolor paper. Both interesting results, although I really love the yellow ones.
