Stitcher’s sketchbooks

A spur of the moment project – Stitcher’s Sketchbooks as taught by Ali Ferguson via TextileArtist.org. I enjoyed making these and I’m glad I did, but I’m not sure I will use them as intended.

The design used some techniques I haven’t done before so it was a good experience.

• Fabric adhered directly to cardboard (not technically “bookcloth”)
• Raw edges on fabric
• Tabs sewn through cardboard covers (used awl first to poke holes)
