Last tannin bath
I really love the way these garments look when laid out in the vernal pools in the preserve behind the house.
I retrieved them this morning. There were other people in the woods, but I think far enough away to not notice my odd behavior pulling cloth out of pools.
Hung them on the line, but I would like to put them through a rinse-spin cycle to clean them of any lingering organic matter.
Four last Maiwa linen garments are now scoured and tannin-treated. Next steps are either setting up an avocado dye bath or maybe more soy mordanting. These linen garments are pretty substantial and I would need to make quite a lot of soy. Well, one step at a time.
