Saffron loom

I broke down and bought myself a little loom with tensioning. I am just so reluctant to weave on the two looms I have because I can’t get or keep the warp threads tight enough.

I got this little Mirrix Saffron loom and so far am very happy with it. It is just for fun really, playing around and improving my skills. And using up bits and pieces of yarn. And making different size pieces.

Eventually I’d like to make four-selvedge woven covers for little books.

Here’s my first piece, taken off the loom. I attempted to finish the edge but this did not go well. Next up is an attempt to weave an orange circle on a turquoise blue background.
