Amulet

My second weaving project. I have wanted to make this amulet since I bought this loom and book, The Art of Weaving a Life, by Susan Barrett Merrill. I bought it at Fiber College, maybe July 2017? I’d have to look it up. Seems fitting that I would finally find the capacity to make an amulet during a pandemic.

It had helped a lot to have access to the online course Weaving on Little Looms, by Rebecca Mezoff. I feel much more confident in knowing how to do things like warping and sewing slits and “meet and separate.”

I’m wearing my amulet. No scientific basis, but it does make me feel stronger.
