A large cloth
I’m excited to be starting another journey with Jude Hill’s Patchwork in Perspective series. She’s hosting this third part, which relates to scale, including Large Cloth, at her spiritcloth blog directly, not in a separate paid site.
To mark the occasion, here’s a tablecloth I photographed in India in June 2015. My records are sketchy, but I think the location was the small town of Andretta, where we visited a pottery studio. We stayed overnight in a homestay called “The Mirage” that was utterly charming. I was quite smitten by this handmade tablecloth pieced together with patchwork and embroidery. I vowed to make something like this when I got home.
