pita threads and moon medallions
These threads are a pain in the ass to stitch with. They get all balled up, repel each other when doubled, become inexplicably longer on one side, tangle for no good reason. They refuse to make knots when I’m trying to knot them, and readily make knots when I want them to lie smooth.
And to make matters worse, I’m stitching these moon medallions (from Jude Hill’s threadcrumbs shop) into the center of the already pieced giant quilt tops instead of doing it earlier onto the small manageable nine-patches.
But the threads are shiny and I love them. Especially when stitching down celestial bodies like these moon medallions.
