home for my edges
I made a rough list of pending projects. One that seemed especially urgent was creating containers or caddies for supplies. On Friday, my fiber friend turned over my 1/8″ metal “edge” or rule, using for measuring and cutting in bookmaking — it had fallen on the floor in the studio and I hadn’t even missed it! So the project to create an edges holder took on more urgency. I sewed a rough prototype today out of a remnant. Five slots for the edges and one shorter slot for the Teflon bone folder.
It’s much wider than necessary because I thought I might add more slots or pockets for a more complete bookbinding kit. We’ll see. At least now I can notice at a glance if I’m missing an edge.
