crazy quilt

I really don’t know what I’m doing, but I’m moving forward.

First, extend the batting layer by adding strips of an old pink blanket. This is in progress. I pinned the strips to the batting layer, and then sewed the corners in a miter. Tomorrow will sew down the strips.

Then extend the pieced top and bottom with border strips.

Then sew the whole thing together in a sandwich. I practiced this step today by making a potholder.
