snow squall starting out
enjoyed hiking in the first snow
beaver dam, water pooled across the trail
detour downhill through the woods
past a beautiful waterfall
up to the Sunrise Trail
short walk until the view of Schoodic
then found cranberries along the trail
that we’d spotted back in August
now ripe jewels
