I was inspired by this interview. I enjoy being a critic. My approach – monitoring and reporting on how a piece of writing or artwork affects me, bringing out any associations or ideas inspired by the piece. It is hard to stay focused on that type of effort intentionally. There are certain blockages. I am activated by community, not competition.
