east side ride

almost 20 miles
from 3rd Avenue bridge (actually 129th and Park)
down the east side along a bumpy sidewalk route with multiple washouts
over the Queensboro Bridge – I hesitated due to fear of heights, but there is a broad bike path over the bridge that doesn’t have a view straight down into the water, so it was fine
north in Queens a few blocks
over the 36th Avenue bridge to Roosevelt Island
around Roosevelt Island “Landmarks Galore”
back track to Manhattan
back to car via Central Park and Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard

great ride, didn’t rain, interesting surroundings, humid but tolerable
