I went through most of last year\u2019s crops that are in storage and evaluated how much we have. As usual, some crops were a big success and others not so much. Note: This is not very scientific! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9380.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-551\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9380.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9380-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9380-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Carrots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stored in refrigerator. Mostly Purple  Haze, a variety I really like. Trimmed off their tops and washed off some slime. They are still good eating. About 2-1\/2 pounds. There are more in the garden to be dug! <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9377.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-552\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9377.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9377-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9377-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Garlic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hung in a net bag in the pantry. 3-1\/2 pounds left. Sprouting as you can see. These were in Jeff\u2019s basement, then moved into our utility room in an attempt to keep them cooler. Some sprouting. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1131\" height=\"848\" src=\"https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9381.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-555\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9381.jpg 1131w, https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9381-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9381-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9381-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1131px) 100vw, 1131px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Parsnips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sam dug these out of the garden today now that the soil is unfrozen enough. About 15 pounds! Trimmed and froze some with damaged tops. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1333\" src=\"https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9378.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-556\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9378.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9378-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/gemtactics.net\/@XRoad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/img_9378-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Pumpkins and squash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These were in Jeff\u2019s basement. We lost a lot to rot, but we had a lot to begin with. I\u2019ve been striving to process these for the freezer or to eat them, but I can only do so much with that much squash!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Also have about a half pound of non- photogenic leeks in the fridge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not to mention quantities of frozen stuff, mostly squash and green beans. We finished the apples today and coming rapidly to the end of the blueberries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Complaints: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>White onions rotted rapidly. I was glad to see this variety was not in the onion medley sold by Fedco this year. <\/li><li>Small cabbage heads did not store well. Bought cabbage for sauerkraut from Four Seasons Farm instead. Would love to know his cabbage secrets! <\/li><li>Potatoes.
