Going down to Perley’s on a walk. I can see the mountains of Acadia far in the distance. Not sure which mountain this is. I’d like to get to know my area well enough that I can name all the mountains from any angle I’m looking. I’ve often thought there should be an app for that, and maybe there is.

Fall color
It really is so beautiful. It’s hard to resist photographing even though every year and for every viewer, it’s always beautiful. Kind of a cliché.
These are from my walking route. Maples and a cinnamon fern.
as fog lifts
This morning’s walk was especially beautiful as the fog was just lifting. I live in a beautiful area.
Peaches in the neighborhood
This loaded peach tree is in the sideyard of what might be an abandoned house on South Bay Road. I bet people in that neighborhood have the harvest well in hand. But I was envious and wanted some.
I saw this while riding my ebike, longest ride yet at 15.5 miles.
My morning walk
I’ve been walking most mornings early, like 6 am. I shifted the direction of my loop so I could face into the sun rising in the east. The fog creates some lovely effects.
Grove
I noticed this grove of trees on the side of the road soon after we moved in to our Maine home. Now I make it a point to look at them often. I’m not sure what type of tree they are, maybe gray birch? But I love the way they stand together and seem related and resolute in their togetherness.
